Reflecting Pulp&Beyond 2024

Owatec participated in the Pulp & Beyond expo held during the second week of April at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. The event focused on the latest trends and innovative products in the forest-based bioeconomy, and our goal was to raise industry awareness about the importance of wastewater treatment for achieving circular economy practices. Especially the first day of the event was bustling, leading to many valuable discussions with those interested in our solutions.

Turning wastewater into assets – focus on clean waters and fibre recovery

From April 9 to 12, the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre transformed into a hub for professionals in the forest-based bioeconomy. The event provided a stage for the latest innovations and enabled vital networking opportunities.

Participation was worthwhile, and our sales director, Päivi Mannila, found the event particularly useful for arranging client meetings and networking. Other team members, Jukka and Petteri, also found the interactions with international and domestic participants timely. Representatives from various companies from Estonia, Germany, Portugal, and Lithuania were encountered. Demonstrating the effectiveness of micro and nanobubbles through a scale model, we were able to show how our solution works concretely. Owatec DAF modular units do not require a separate clean water circulation to operate, as solids and other impurities are efficiently separated from wastewater using the multi-phase pumps.

We thank everyone who visited our booth and all the stakeholders involved in making our participation possible. Thanks also to the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre staff and especially to the gentleman responsible for refilling and emptying the water tanks!
